Beginnings

DesignWorx packaging was founded in 1960 by Charles Alexander Brodie. It was originally located in Pasadena on Arroyo Seco parkway, so we adopted the name Arroyo Packaging. In the beginning, Arroyo distributed large plastic containers primarily to the chemical industry. In 1977, James Henry Devine(Jim) joined the company and began the expansion into other product categories. As time went by, the founder became interested in retirement and sold the business to Jim. The expansion into other categories accelerated. Additional talented people were hired with experience in design and distribution and the business continued to grow. In 2002, we decided to change the name to something that better suited our growth in the design industry, hence the name DesignWorx Packaging.

Today, DesignWorx Packaging is a well established industry leader in the design and distribution of all types of plastic containers and closures. We supply to a myriad of businesses both large and small. On a continuing basis, we strive to maintain our leadership in design, improved distribution and most importantly, quality.
